BS became visibly agitated upon seeing the bus arrive, as he was unable to board immediately. At the time, the driver was demonstrating the operation of the harness to the clinical lead, which contributed to a delay. This situation appeared to increase BS’s distress, resulting in him kicking staff members who were attempting to support him and assist with passing his safety harness safely to the rear of the vehicle for securement.
Kicked staff on their chest and this was unprovoked. He was not allowing staff to pass his harness under him safely.
Staff removed themselves from his reach and gave him space to regulate his emotions.
BS was becoming heightened and agitated due to the number of people standing next to him.
